Cynthia Positano​

​As a salesperson for Vacuubrand for many years, and  manufacturer's representative for many more, Cynthia has a deep knowledge base about vacuum pumps and technology. Working alongside John, Cynthia works for Mbar Technology Inc. in the Bay Area and makes sure Mbar's day-to-day operations are running smoothly.  She is an organic gardening enthusiast and top notch home cook. 

John A. Freeman

With 40 years of experience in the field of vacuum technology, current President John Freeman founded Mbar in 2001 as the premier professional manufacturer's representative company on the West Coast.  After graduating with his degree from Northeastern University in Boston, John gained experience in the field working as a thin-film optical coating technician in his early career, then as Vice President of Sales in the United States for companies like Balzers, Pfeiffer, and VAT.  He often hosts short courses at the National Labs on topics like cryogenic pumping, vacuum gauging, and Residual Gas Analysis.  Today, he lives in Fremont, CA with his family, and enjoys vacationing in Cabo San Lucas and making electronic music in his spare time.
